Mikaela is a limited permit holder in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) born and raised in Jamaica. She pursued her passion for psychology by obtaining her bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from Johnson and Wales University. Following her undergraduate studies, Mikaela continued her academic journey at Hofstra University, where she earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. During her time at Hofstra, Mikaela’s exemplary dedication and commitment to her field were recognized when she was nominated for the AAMFT Student Initiative Program by her program director. This nomination underscores Mikaela’s exceptional potential and her drive to make a positive impact in the realm of individual and family therapy. Today, Mikaela continues to apply her knowledge and skills as an MFT, helping individuals and families navigate through life’s challenges with empathy and understanding. Mikaela’s goal is to help her clients uncover the roots of their challenges and guide her clients towards internal and interpersonal healing.
