Jana is a licensed clinical social worker in New York State who has over 9 years of experience in the mental health field. She earned a Master of Social Work degree with a clinical concentration from Fordham University. She also holds a Master of Science from Sarah Lawrence College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University. Jana has worked in various mental health settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, school settings, nursing homes, and a residential treatment center. She is certified in Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT), Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) and is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). She is currently pursuing additional certifications in Somatic Experiencing, TF-CBT, and as ES Level 1 AEDP therapist. Jana is also a NY state licensed creative arts therapist as dance/movement therapist. Her clinical approach encompasses a broad range of evidenced based practices including IFS, Play Therapy, CBT, DBT, as well as other body-centered therapies. She has experienced working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. It is Jana’s goal to integrate the mind and body, as well as the utilizing expressive arts to support clients to building resilience in order for them to live a life full and abundantly.
